How to Add Funds¶
Overview¶
Party VPN uses a credit-based system where you add funds to your account balance using cryptocurrency. Once you have credits, you can use them to create VPNs and access our services. Adding funds is straightforward and takes just a few minutes.
Don't have an account yet? Sign up here - it's free and takes less than 30 seconds.
Prerequisites¶
Before you begin, make sure you:
- Login to the dashboard
- Have cryptocurrency available in your wallet
- Know which network your cryptocurrency is on (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, BSC)
Starting a Payment¶
From your dashboard, you can add funds in two ways:
From the Sidebar
- Click the round cryptocurrency icon next to your account balance in the top-left corner
From Payment History
- Navigate to Payments from the left sidebar
- Click the Add Funds button
Select Your Amount¶
On the Add Funds screen, you'll see several quick-select options:
Quick Select Packages¶
You can choose from pre-configured amounts:
- $10 - Perfect for trying out the service
- $25 - A good starting balance
- $50 - Popular choice for regular users
- $100 - Best choice to not have to add funds again for a while
Custom Amount¶
Or, if you prefer a different amount:
- Enter any amount between $1 and $500 in the Custom Amount field
- The field accepts whole dollar amounts
Recommended Minimum
While the minimum is $1, we recommend adding at least $10 to cover typical VPN usage and avoid multiple small transactions.
Select Your Cryptocurrency¶
Choose from our supported cryptocurrencies:
- BTC - Bitcoin (Bitcoin network)
- ETH - Ethereum (Ethereum network)
- SOL - Solana (Solana network)
- USDC - USD Coin (Ethereum ERC20)
- BNB - BNB (BSC network)
- LTC - Litecoin (Litecoin network)
- XRP - Ripple (Ripple network)
Network Requirements
Each cryptocurrency operates on a specific blockchain network. Make sure your wallet supports the correct network. Sending cryptocurrency on the wrong network will result in permanent and irreversible loss of funds.
Generate Your Payment¶
After selecting your amount and cryptocurrency:
- Review your selections
- Click Generate Payment
The system will create a unique payment address for your transaction. This process takes only a few seconds.
Complete Your Payment¶
You'll now see your payment details screen:
Payment Information¶
The screen displays:
- QR Code - Scan with your crypto wallet on your phone
- Payment Address - The unique address to send your payment to
- Amount - The exact amount of cryptocurrency to send
- Network - The blockchain network to use
- Expiration Time - When this payment request expires
Sending Your Payment¶
You have two options:
Option 1: Scan QR Code (Desktop/Laptop)
- Open your mobile crypto wallet app
- Select "Send" or "Scan QR Code"
- Scan the displayed QR code
- Verify the amount and address
- Confirm and send
Two QR Code Types
The default QR code includes the payment address, amount, and memo. If your wallet shows an "Invalid Address" error, click Switch to Classic to use a simpler QR code with just the payment address. In Classic Mode, you'll have to enter the amount manually, so please be careful!
Option 2: Copy Address (Mobile/Desktop)
- Click Copy to copy the payment address
- Open your crypto wallet
- Paste the address into the recipient field
- Enter the exact amount shown
- Verify the network matches
- Send the payment
Critical - Check the Network
Always verify you're sending on the correct network before confirming the transaction. Sending crypto on the wrong network (e.g., sending USDC on Polygon instead of Ethereum) will result in permanent and irreversible loss of funds.
Payment Status¶
The page will automatically refresh every few seconds to check for your payment
- Pending - Waiting for your payment
- Confirming - Payment received, waiting for blockchain confirmation
- Confirmed - Payment confirmed, credits added to your balance
You can always come back
If you navigate away from this screen, don't worry. You can come back at any time by clicking Payments in the left sidebar, and then selecting this transaction from the list. If you have many transactions, it helps to filter by Pending.
Confirmation Times
Blockchain confirmation times vary by network. Bitcoin can take 10-60 minutes, Ethereum and most other networks typically confirm within a few minutes, while Solana confirms in just a few seconds or less.
Payment Expiration¶
Payment requests expire after a set time period to ensure accurate cryptocurrency pricing. The expiration time is listed on the bottom of the Send Payment screen.
Expired Payments
If your payment expires before you send it, simply create a new payment request. The exchange rate will be recalculated for the new request.
Viewing Payment History¶
You may access your payment history at any time
- Navigate to Payments from the left sidebar
- View all your payments with their status
- Filter by status, cryptocurrency, or date range
- Click any payment to view its details
Payment Statuses¶
- Pending - Awaiting payment
- Confirming - Payment received, awaiting network confirmation
- Confirmed - Complete - credits added to your balance
- Expired - Payment request expired before payment was received
- Failed - Payment processing failed
Tips and Best Practices¶
Choosing Your Cryptocurrency¶
Transaction Fees
Consider network transaction fees when selecting your cryptocurrency. Bitcoin fees and Ethereum fees ("gas") can be higher during busy periods, while networks like Solana or Litecoin have lower fees.
Send Exact Amounts¶
Exact Amount Required
Always send the exact cryptocurrency amount shown. Sending more or less may delay processing or require manual intervention.
Payment Timing¶
Blockchain confirmation times vary by network. Bitcoin can take 10-60 minutes, Ethereum and most other networks typically confirm within a few minutes, while Solana confirms in just a few seconds or less.
Save Payment Links¶
Each payment gets a unique URL. You can bookmark or save this URL to check your payment status later, even if you close your browser.
You can also quickly search for your payment later by clicking Payments on the left sidebar. The most recent transactions appear on top.
Troubleshooting¶
My wallet shows Invalid Address when scanning the QR code
Click the Switch to Classic button below the QR code. The classic QR code contains only the payment address and works with more wallet apps. You'll need to manually enter the amount in your wallet.
I sent the wrong amount
Contact Party VPN support via the Help Desk. Include your payment order ID and transaction hash. Depending on the situation, we may be able to manually process your payment.
I sent crypto on the wrong network
Unfortunately, cryptocurrency sent on the wrong network cannot be recovered. This is a limitation of blockchain technology, not Party VPN. Always double-check the network before sending.
My payment is taking a long time to confirm
Confirmation times depend on the blockchain network and current network congestion. Bitcoin can take 10-60 minutes during busy periods. If your payment hasn't confirmed after several hours, check your transaction hash on a blockchain explorer to verify it was sent correctly.
The payment expired before I could send it
Create a new payment request. Payment requests expire to ensure accurate cryptocurrency pricing. The new request may have a slightly different crypto amount due to exchange rate changes.
I don't see my credits after payment confirmation
Refresh your browser. If your credits still don't appear, contact Party VPN support from the Help Desk in the sidebar, and we'll help you out.
I received a 'minimum amount not met' error
Some cryptocurrencies have minimum payment amounts, typically around $10. Select a higher amount or choose a different cryptocurrency. We recommend using amounts of $10 or higher to avoid this issue.
